The DMC1229UFDB-7 from Diodes Incorporated integrates complementary N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs in a single ultra-compact 2 x 2 mm DFN2020-6 package. The N-channel MOSFET provides 20V VDS, 6.3A ID, and 28 mOhm RDS(ON) at 4.5V VGS, suitable for low-side switching and DC-DC converter applications. The P-channel MOSFET provides -8V VDS, -4A ID, and 55 mOhm RDS(ON) at -2.5V VGS, suitable for load switches and battery disconnects. The complementary pairing in a single package saves board space and simplifies layout compared to using two discrete MOSFETs. The 2 x 2 mm DFN package with 0.55 mm height is ideal for space-constrained portable devices. The -7 suffix indicates tape and reel packaging from Diodes Incorporated.

The DMC1229UFDB-7 contains two independent enhancement-mode MOSFETs on a single silicon die. The N-channel MOSFET uses a trench-gate structure with a P-type body and N+ source/drain. When VGS exceeds the threshold (1.0-2.0V), an inversion layer (N-channel) forms, connecting source to drain with 28 mOhm resistance. The P-channel MOSFET uses a complementary structure with an N-type body and P+ source/drain. When VGS is sufficiently negative (below -0.7V threshold), a P-channel forms. The two MOSFETs share no electrical connection except through the common package substrate, allowing independent circuit connection. The 2 x 2 mm DFN package uses copper pillars for die-to-leadframe interconnect and an exposed pad for thermal dissipation. The 0.55 mm height accommodates thin-form-factor portable devices.
