The EEFSX0J151ER from Panasonic is a 150µF, 6.3VDC conductive polymer aluminum solid capacitor from the SP-Cap series in a 7.3×4.3×1.9mm low-profile surface-mount package. The conductive polymer cathode provides ultra-low ESR (~9mΩ max) and high ripple current capability (3.5A), eliminating the ignition failure mode of traditional wet aluminum electrolytics. With 125°C operating temperature, it is designed for CPU/GPU core voltage decoupling and DC-DC converter output smoothing in space-constrained applications.

The EEFSX0J uses an aluminum foil anode with formed aluminum oxide dielectric and conductive polymer (PEDT/PProDOT) cathode. The polymer replaces the traditional liquid electrolyte, providing orders-of-magnitude lower ESR and eliminating the risk of ignition during a short-circuit failure (the polymer self-heals by oxidizing and increasing resistance at fault sites). The solid construction also eliminates drying-out degradation, providing stable ESR and capacitance over the rated lifetime at 125°C.
