The INA225AQDGKRQ1 is an AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified, voltage-output, bidirectional current-sense amplifier from Texas Instruments. It senses voltage drops across current-shunt resistors at common-mode voltages from 0 V to 36 V, independent of the supply voltage. Two gain-select pins (GS0, GS1) program four discrete gain levels of 25, 50, 100, and 200 V/V. The zero-drift architecture provides ±150 µV maximum offset voltage and 0.5 µV/°C drift, enabling high-precision measurement over the full automotive temperature range.

The INA225-Q1 uses a zero-drift (chopper-stabilized) architecture to achieve ultra-low offset voltage and drift. The differential voltage across the shunt resistor is amplified by the selected gain (set by GS0/GS1 pins) and referenced to the voltage at the REF pin. For bidirectional measurement, the REF pin is connected to a reference voltage (e.g., VS/2), allowing the output to indicate both current directions. The auto-zeroing cycle continuously cancels input offset, maintaining precision over temperature and time.
