The W25Q80VSSI from Winbond is an 8Mbit Serial NOR Flash supporting standard, dual, and quad SPI at up to 104MHz. With flexible 4KB sector erase, XIP support, and 100K erase cycle endurance, it is widely used for firmware and data storage in embedded systems.

The W25Q80VSSI is organized as 4096 programmable pages of 256 bytes each. Erase operations apply to 4KB sectors, 32KB/64KB blocks, or the entire chip. Quad SPI mode uses 4 data lines for command, address, and data, achieving equivalent 416MHz throughput. XIP mode allows direct code execution without RAM loading. Program suspend/resume enables interrupting long erase cycles for urgent read operations.
