The FCF25FP-47R0 from YAGEO is a 47Ω ±5% thick film power chip resistor in a 2512 (6432 metric) package, part of the FCF series. With a 1W power rating and 200V voltage rating, the 2512 package provides significantly more power dissipation capability than smaller chip sizes (0402, 0603, 0805). The 47Ω resistance value is commonly used for signal line termination, LED current limiting, and power supply damping applications. The thick film technology on alumina substrate provides a cost-effective solution for general-purpose power resistor needs.

The FCF25FP-47R0 uses a thick film resistive element (metal glaze on alumina) laser-trimmed to 47Ω with ±5% tolerance. The large 2512 package provides a greater surface area for heat dissipation, enabling the 1W power rating. The thermal resistance from the resistive element to the PCB is lower in the 2512 package compared to smaller chip sizes, allowing more power to be conducted through the solder joints into the PCB copper planes for dissipation. The Ni barrier Sn termination ensures reliable solder joints even under sustained power dissipation.
