The IRS1125A from Infineon is a 1200V half-bridge gate driver IC with 2A peak output current. The bootstrap high-side driver operates up to 1200V offset. UVLO on both VCC and VB prevents IGBT/SiC MOSFET switching with insufficient gate drive. Independent enable inputs and internal dead time ensure shoot-through protection.

The high-side driver uses a bootstrap diode and capacitor to float the high-side circuitry above the half-bridge output node. A level shifter transfers the input logic to the high-side. The 2A output stage drives IGBT/SiC MOSFET gates. UVLO prevents partial turn-on. Internal dead time ensures both outputs are never on simultaneously.
