The LMC6035IMX/NOPB is an economical, low-voltage dual CMOS operational amplifier from Texas Instruments capable of rail-to-rail output swing into loads of 600 ohms. It allows single-supply operation and is specified for 2.7-V, 3-V, 5-V, and 15-V supply voltage. The 2.7-V specification corresponds to the end-of-life voltage (0.9 V/cell) for three NiCd or NiMH batteries in series. The ultra-low input current of 20 fA makes it an excellent choice for low-power active-filter applications, as it allows the use of higher resistor values and lower capacitor values while maintaining circuit performance.

The LMC6035 utilizes a CMOS input stage providing ultra-low input bias current (20 fA typical), which is critical for high-impedance sensor interfaces and active filter designs. The rail-to-rail output stage uses complementary PMOS and NMOS transistors in a totem-pole configuration that can swing within 200 mV of either supply rail at 600-ohm load. The internal compensation network ensures stability with a gain-bandwidth product of 1.4 MHz. The device architecture includes a high-gain differential input pair, voltage gain stages, and a class-AB output buffer capable of sourcing and sinking up to 5 mA continuously.
