The onsemi NLAS3899BMNTXG is a dual DPDT analog switch fabricated with advanced CMOS technology, housed in a compact QFN-16 package (3 x 3 mm). The device features low on-resistance of 4 ohm typical and operates over a wide supply voltage range of 1.65V to 4.3V, making it ideal for battery-powered portable devices. Each DPDT switch can function as a 2:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer, routing analog or digital signals between two sources and one destination. The high bandwidth of 300 MHz supports video and high-speed audio applications. Break-before-make switching architecture prevents momentary signal shorting during transitions. The device handles signals beyond the supply rails, extending the usable signal range.

The NLAS3899BMNTXG contains two independent DPDT (Double-Pole Double-Throw) switch elements, each controlled by a digital input (IN). Each DPDT switch has two inputs (COM) and two outputs (NO and NC). When the control input (IN) is HIGH, the COM pin connects to the NO (Normally Open) terminal through the low-resistance MOSFET switch. When IN is LOW, COM connects to NC (Normally Closed). The break-before-make architecture ensures that the NC connection breaks before the NO connection makes, preventing signal shorting during transition. The internal CMOS transmission gate uses parallel-connected PMOS and NMOS transistors to achieve low and relatively flat on-resistance across the full signal range. The 4 ohm on-resistance is achieved through optimized transistor sizing and advanced process technology. The switch handles signals from below ground to above VCC (beyond-the-rails), making it suitable for AC-coupled audio signals.
