The onsemi NUP1301ML3T1G is a dual common-cathode Schottky barrier diode housed in an ultra-compact SOT-1123 surface-mount package. Each diode is rated at 30V reverse voltage and 200 mA forward current, with a low forward voltage drop of 0.5V typical at 100 mA. The common-cathode configuration is ideal for OR-ing applications and charge pump circuits where two diodes share a common return path. The Schottky construction provides zero reverse recovery time, making the device suitable for high-frequency switching applications. The device is AEC-Q101 qualified, meeting automotive reliability standards for use in vehicle electronic systems.

The NUP1301ML3T1G contains two Schottky barrier diodes with their cathodes connected together. Each diode uses a metal-semiconductor junction (typically molybdenum or platinum on N-type silicon) rather than a PN junction. In forward bias, majority carriers (electrons) cross the metal-semiconductor barrier, conducting current with a low forward voltage of 0.5V at 100 mA. The Schottky junction has no minority carrier storage, enabling zero reverse recovery time — the diode switches off almost instantly when reverse-biased. In reverse bias, a small leakage current of 2 microA flows at 25V. The common-cathode configuration means both diode anodes are independent while sharing a single cathode pin, reducing pin count and simplifying PCB layout for OR-ing and charge pump applications.
