The PESD1IVN24-LSYL is a Nexperia ESD protection device in a leadless ultra-small DFN1006BD-2 (SOD882BD) plastic package with side-wettable flanks. It is designed to protect automotive in-vehicle network bus lines from ESD and transient damage. The device provides 24V reverse standoff voltage with low 33V typical clamping voltage at 3.5A peak pulse current. Qualified to AEC-Q101, it is ideal for CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and SENT automotive network protection.

The PESD1IVN24-LSYL operates as a bidirectional TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diode. Under normal operating conditions (voltage below 24V), the device presents high impedance with sub-nanoampere leakage current and low capacitance (14pF), minimizing signal distortion on high-speed bus lines. When a transient voltage exceeds the breakdown voltage (25.5V min), the device rapidly avalanches, clamping the voltage to a safe level (33V typ at 3.5A) and diverting the transient energy away from the protected circuit. After the transient subsides, the device returns to its high-impedance state.
