The RK809-1 from Rockchip is a power management IC specifically designed for the RK3399 application processor. It integrates 5 buck DC-DC converters and 8 LDO regulators with I2C control, providing all power rails needed for the SoC and its peripherals in a single chip.

Principio de funcionamiento

Five buck converters use PWM/PFM mode switching for high efficiency across load range, powering core, DDR, and I/O rails. Eight LDOs provide clean power for analog domains and peripheral I/O. I2C interface enables dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) for CPU frequency scaling. Power sequencing is programmable for proper SoC boot-up.
