The KH25L6433F operates as a serial NOR Flash memory using the SPI protocol. In standard SPI mode, commands are sent on SI (Serial Input) and data is read on SO (Serial Output) synchronously with SCLK. In Dual I/O mode, both SI and SO pins are used for bidirectional data transfer, doubling the read throughput. In Quad I/O mode, all four data pins (SI/SO/WP/HOLD) are used for data transfer, quadrupling the read speed. The device uses a command-based interface where the host sends an 8-bit command code followed by address and data as needed. An internal state machine manages program and erase operations automatically. Sector erase, block erase, and chip erase commands are supported, with program operations performed on 256-byte pages. The device supports Program/Erase Suspend/Resume, allowing interruption of operations to access other memory regions. Status registers provide operation status feedback via polling.
