The MX29LV800C operates as an asynchronous parallel NOR Flash memory with bottom boot architecture. When CE# and OE# are active (low) and WE# is inactive (high), data is read from the memory array addressed by A0-A18. The BYTE# pin controls the data bus width: high for 16-bit word mode (DQ0-DQ15), low for 8-bit byte mode (DQ0-DQ7 with DQ15/A-1 as address A-1). Program and erase operations are commanded through the command register interface, following JEDEC standard conventions. An internal state machine automatically handles all program and erase timing and algorithms. Status is available via DQ7 (Data Polling), DQ6 (Toggle Bit), and the RY/BY# hardware pin. The bottom boot architecture places small 8KB/16KB boot sectors at the lowest memory addresses, with the remainder divided into 64KB uniform sectors. Sector protection allows locking sectors against program/erase operations, and the WP# pin provides hardware write protection.
