The SN74AHCT244DBR from TI is an octal non-inverting buffer/line driver with tri-state outputs in SSOP-20 package. AHCT family provides TTL-compatible input thresholds with CMOS output levels for TTL-to-CMOS level translation. +-8mA output drive for moderate bus loading. Two independent 4-bit groups with separate output enables. SSOP-20 narrow body saves board space versus SOIC-20.

Eight non-inverting buffers organized as two 4-bit groups. When OE is low, outputs drive the input data (Y = A). When OE is high, outputs are high-impedance. The AHCT family has TTL input thresholds (VIL=0.8V, VIH=2.0V) and CMOS output levels (VOH near VCC), making it ideal for translating TTL-level inputs to CMOS-level outputs. This is commonly needed when interfacing 3.3V logic to 5V CMOS peripheral ICs.
