The 22-23-2031 connector operates using a ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) mechanism. The flat flexible cable (FFC) or flexible printed circuit (FPC) is inserted into the connector slot with the actuator in the open position, requiring minimal insertion force. When the actuator is closed, it presses the cable contacts against the connector terminals, establishing a reliable electrical connection through spring force from the phosphor bronze contacts. The right-angle orientation allows the cable to exit parallel to the PCB surface, minimizing vertical space requirements.
