The B82477D4223M000 from TDK is a 22µH ±20% shielded wirewound power inductor in a 12.5×12.5×8.5mm surface-mount package. AEC-Q200 qualified for automotive applications, it provides 4.5A typical saturation current and 2.8A rated current (40°C rise) with 69.5mΩ typical DCR. The magnetically shielded construction minimizes EMI coupling to adjacent circuits. Operating from -55°C to +150°C (including self-temperature rise), it is designed for automotive DC-DC converter output filter and energy storage applications.

The B82477D uses a ferrite drum core with wirewound coil enclosed by a magnetic shield. The shield contains the magnetic flux within the component volume, reducing radiated EMI that could couple to nearby traces. The ferrite core provides high permeability for the 22µH inductance value. Saturation current is defined at the point where inductance drops 10% from nominal due to core saturation. The rated current is defined by 40°C temperature rise from copper (DCR) losses, ensuring reliable long-term operation within temperature limits.
