The DK2A-5V from Panasonic is a 5VDC coil DPDT (2-form-C) signal relay with ultra-sensitive 100mW coil power consumption. The gold-clad bifurcated cross-bar contacts ensure reliable switching of low-level signals (down to 10uA, 10mV) while also handling moderate power loads up to 2A at 30VDC. With >10 million mechanical operations life and <50mO contact resistance.

The DK2A-5V uses an electromagnetic coil (5VDC, ~100mW) that generates a magnetic field when energized, attracting an armature that mechanically transfers the contacts from NC to NO position. The bifurcated (twin) contact design ensures reliable contact even if one contact point is contaminated. The gold cladding prevents oxide formation, enabling reliable low-level signal switching.
