The DLPC3430CZVBR is a DLP display controller from Texas Instruments designed specifically for the DLP2010 (0.2-inch WVGA) DMD. It accepts input images up to 720p and scales them to WVGA output at frame rates up to 240 Hz. The controller integrates the IntelliBright image processing suite including Content Adaptive Illumination Control (CAIC) and Local Area Brightness Boost (LABB) for optimized perceived brightness. It supports both MIPI DSI Type 3 (1-4 lanes at 470 Mbps) and 24-bit parallel/BT656 input interfaces, making it suitable for mobile and IoT platforms. The embedded Arm Cortex-M3 processor handles image processing and system control.

The DLPC3430 receives video data through the 24-bit parallel interface or MIPI DSI Type 3 port. The internal Cortex-M3 processor applies IntelliBright processing: CAIC dynamically adjusts LED current based on image content, and LABB enhances local contrast. The image scaler resizes input to match the WVGA DMD resolution. 1D keystone correction compensates for projection angle distortion. Processed pixel data is output to the DLP2010 DMD via the SubLVDS interface. The controller manages DMD power sequencing, LED current control via I2C to the PMIC, and auto-parks the DMD on power-down for reliability. External SPI flash stores firmware and splash screen images.
