The ERJP06J621V from Panasonic is a 620O, 0.5W anti-surge thick film chip resistor in a 0805 (2012 metric) surface-mount package. AEC-Q200 qualified for automotive applications, the anti-surge design provides high withstanding capability against ESD and lightning surge events. The 500V rated voltage and 0.5W power rating in a compact 0805 footprint make it suitable for input protection, snubber, and pre-charge circuits.

The ERJP06 uses Panasonic anti-surge thick film technology with a specially formulated resistive element that has higher energy absorption capability than standard thick film. The wider conductor pattern and optimized trimming cut geometry allow the resistor to absorb surge energy without catastrophic failure. The thick alumina substrate provides thermal mass for energy absorption during short-duration surge events.
