The QSME-C191-000A6 is a surface-mount ChipLED from Broadcom/Avago Technologies in the industry-standard 0603 (1.6 x 0.8 mm) footprint. Part of the HSMx-C191 high-performance ChipLED family, it features diffused optics with a wide 170° viewing angle suitable for light piping and direct backlighting of keypads and panels. The ultra-low 0.6 mm profile enables use in space-constrained designs. The chip is shipped in tape and reel format with 4000 units per reel, sealed in moisture barrier bags for pick-and-place assembly compatibility.

The QSME-C191-000A6 is an LED chip die encapsulated in a surface-mount 0603 package with diffused lens optics. When forward-biased at the rated test current (20 mA), the LED emits light through the diffused lens which scatters the light for uniform illumination and a wide viewing angle of 170°. The InGaN or AlInGaP die material (depending on color variant) converts electrical energy to visible light with high luminous efficiency. The package is designed for IR soldering compatibility and tape-and-reel automated assembly.
