The TQ30 4Q3B05 from Traco Power is a 30W isolated DC-DC converter from the TQ30 series, featuring 4:1 ultra-wide input range and quad output configuration. Designed for railway and harsh environment applications, it complies with EN 50155 and provides 3000VDC reinforced isolation. The high efficiency (~88%) and full protection suite (OVP, OCP, UVLO, SCP) ensure reliable operation from -40°C to +85°C with derating.

The TQ30 uses a forward or half-bridge converter topology with a planar transformer for compact size and high efficiency. The 4:1 wide input range is achieved through feedforward control that adjusts duty cycle based on input voltage. Multiple secondary windings with independent post-regulators provide the quad output voltages with tight regulation. The 3000VDC isolation barrier meets reinforced isolation requirements for railway and medical applications.
