The 4409SM-06-CR from CUI Devices is a 2.1×5.5mm DC barrel power jack in SMT right-angle configuration. With 6A current rating and switched contact for plug detection, it provides a reliable DC power input interface for embedded and consumer electronics.

The barrel jack uses a spring-loaded center pin that contacts the inner diameter of the mating barrel plug. The outer sleeve contacts the plug outer conductor. The switched contact opens when a plug is inserted, enabling automatic power source selection between external DC and battery. The SMT right-angle mounting positions the jack along the PCB edge.
