Product Overview
The ADS1256IDBR is a very low-noise, 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments Burr-Brown product line, featuring a 4-channel differential / 8-channel single-ended input multiplexer, a very low-noise programmable gain amplifier (PGA), and a programmable digital filter. The device offers up to 23 bits of noise-free resolution at low data rates and supports data rates up to 30 kSPS with single-cycle settling. The chopper-stabilized input buffer and low-noise PGA achieve 27 nV of input-referred noise. With excellent integral nonlinearity of only ±0.0010% (FSR maximum) and outstanding DC accuracy, the ADS1256 is ideal for high-resolution measurement applications including weigh scales, scientific instruments, industrial process control, and medical equipment. The device includes flexible power-down modes consuming as little as 0.4 mW in standby. The ADS1256IDBR is packaged in a 28-lead SSOP and operates over the full industrial temperature range of -40C to +85C.
