The BCM6711A0KEFBG is a Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) residential access point chip from Broadcom supporting 2×2 spatial streams. It can selectively operate in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or 6 GHz band with up to 160 MHz channel bandwidth, delivering up to 2.4 Gbps PHY rate. The chip integrates RF power amplifiers, reducing BOM cost and simplifying PCB design for cost-optimized access point and extender products. It supports key Wi-Fi 6E features including OFDMA, MU-MIMO, 1024-QAM, and TWT.

The BCM6711 integrates a complete Wi-Fi 6E MAC, PHY, and radio subsystem. The 2×2 MIMO radio supports selective operation in 2.4/5/6 GHz bands with 160 MHz channels. The MAC layer implements 802.11ax features: OFDMA for efficient multi-user access, MU-MIMO for spatial multiplexing, and 1024-QAM for peak rates. Integrated PAs eliminate external power amplifier requirements. TWT enables scheduled wake times for client power savings. The chip connects to a host SoC via PCIe for data path and management operations.
