The SN74AUP1G07DCKR from Texas Instruments is a single open-drain buffer/line driver in the ultra-low-power AUP family, packaged in a tiny SOT-353 (SC-70-5) surface-mount package. With 0.8V minimum supply voltage and 0.9uA maximum supply current, it is designed for sub-1V and battery-powered applications. The open-drain output with 5.5V input tolerance enables voltage level translation and wired-OR bus connections such as I2C and SMBus.

The SN74AUP1G07 uses CMOS logic with an ultra-low-power process for sub-microwatt operation. The open-drain output consists of a single NMOS pulldown transistor. When the input is high, the NMOS is on, pulling the output low. When the input is low, the NMOS is off and the output floats high via an external pull-up resistor to any voltage up to 5.5V, enabling level translation. The AUP architecture minimizes static power to 0.9uA.
