The TPS76633DR is a 250 mA low-dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator from Texas Instruments with a fixed 3.3 V output. It features an ultra-low quiescent current of 55 µA typical, a low dropout voltage of 230 mV at full 250 mA load, and a wide input voltage range of 2.5 V to 16 V. The device includes a Power Good (PG) open-drain output for supply monitoring, an enable (EN) pin for shutdown control, and internal soft start. Overcurrent limit and thermal shutdown provide robust fault protection.

The TPS76633DR uses a PMOS pass element to achieve low dropout voltage. The error amplifier compares a fraction of the output voltage (via an internal resistor divider for the fixed 3.3V version) with an internal reference, driving the PMOS gate to maintain regulation. The PG comparator monitors the output and asserts the PG flag when output is within regulation. The enable pin controls the pass element gate directly. Thermal shutdown and current limit circuits protect the device under fault conditions.
