The BLM18KG601SH1D from Murata is a 600 Ohm ferrite bead in an 0603 package. At 100MHz the bead presents 600 Ohm impedance for effective high-frequency noise suppression while allowing 150mA DC current with low DCR. The BLM18KG series is designed for general-purpose EMI filtering in power and signal lines.

The ferrite bead uses a NiZn or MnZn ferrite material that exhibits frequency-dependent impedance. At DC/low frequency, impedance is low (dominated by DCR ~0.9 ohm) allowing signal/current passage. At high frequency (100MHz), the ferrite’s magnetic loss converts noise energy to heat, presenting 600 Ohm impedance. The impedance is primarily resistive (R component) at high frequency, providing broadband damping without resonance issues.
