The CS25GTFR010 from Samsung Electro-Mechanics is a 0.01Ω (10mΩ) ±1% metal element current sense resistor in a 2512 (6432 metric) package. The metal strip construction provides a very low temperature coefficient of ±50ppm/°C, ensuring measurement accuracy across the -55°C to +170°C operating range. With a 2W power rating, the device can handle continuous currents up to approximately 14A. The 4-terminal (Kelvin) pad layout enables precise voltage sensing by separating the current path from the voltage measurement path, eliminating the effect of contact and trace resistance on the measurement.

The CS25GTFR010 uses a metal strip (alloy) resistive element that provides a precisely controlled 10mΩ resistance with ±1% tolerance. Unlike thick film resistors, the metal alloy element has a very low and predictable temperature coefficient (±50ppm/°C), making it suitable for precision current measurement over a wide temperature range. The 2512 package with 4-terminal (Kelvin) pad layout separates the high-current path from the voltage sense connections, allowing the current-sense amplifier to measure the true voltage drop across the resistive element without the parasitic voltage drops across solder joints and PCB traces. The low 10mΩ resistance minimizes power dissipation and voltage drop in the monitored circuit.
