The DRQ74-101-R from Wurth Elektronik is a 100µH coupled power inductor with 1:1 turns ratio in a 7.3×7.3×3.1mm shielded surface-mount package. The coupled winding design makes it ideal for SEPIC, Cuk, and flyback converter topologies where the coupled inductance reduces ripple current and component count. With 0.45A rated current, 1.73Ω maximum DCR per winding, and 80VDC operating voltage, it supports a wide range of power conversion applications from -40°C to +125°C.

The DRQ74 uses two windings on a common ferrite core with 1:1 turns ratio. In a SEPIC converter, the coupled inductor provides the same voltage transformation as two separate inductors while reducing ripple current through mutual coupling. The magnetic coupling between windings (coupling coefficient k ≈ 0.98+) ensures that energy transfers efficiently between primary and secondary. The shielded construction contains magnetic flux to minimize EMI radiation to nearby circuit traces.
