Product Overview
The DRV8812PWPR from TI is a dual H-bridge motor driver capable of 2A per bridge (2.5A peak) from 2.7V to 10.8V supply. It drives two DC motors or one stepper motor with integrated protection including overcurrent, thermal shutdown, and undervoltage lockout.

Working Principle
Two independent H-bridges each contain four N-channel MOSFETs with 360 mOhm total RDS(ON). PHASE/ENABLE inputs control bridge direction and braking. Internal current sense amplifiers enable microstepping with external DAC-controlled reference. Overcurrent protection uses MOSFET VDS sensing. Fault output reports OCP and TSD events.
