The EFM-290EDFPN is a piezoelectric buzzer that generates an audible tone at approximately 2900Hz. Self-driven with built-in oscillator circuit – only DC power is needed. ~85dB sound pressure at 10cm for clear alarm and indicator sounds.

A piezoelectric ceramic disc vibrates at its resonant frequency (~2900Hz) when driven by the internal oscillator. The vibration displaces air creating sound waves. The built-in driving circuit oscillates at the piezo resonant frequency for maximum sound output.
