The ELJFA6R8JF from Panasonic is a 6.8 µH wirewound chip inductor in a 2012 (0805) surface-mount package. With ±5% tolerance (J grade), it provides stable inductance for signal filtering, resonance, and impedance matching applications. The wirewound ceramic core construction offers high Q factor and self-resonant frequency. Note: This product is discontinued (EOL) and should not be used for new designs.

The ELJFA6R8JF uses a wirewound construction where a fine copper wire is wound around a ceramic (ferrite) core. The number of turns and core permeability determine the inductance value. At frequencies below self-resonance, the device behaves as an inductor with impedance increasing linearly with frequency (Z = 2πfL). Above the self-resonant frequency, parasitic capacitance between windings dominates and the impedance decreases.
