The ATF16LV8C-10JU from Microchip is a low-power EE programmable logic device in PLCC-20 package. 8 macrocells with 10ns pin-to-pin delay. 3V-5V low-voltage operation. Implements the industry-standard 16V8 PAL architecture with 64 product terms. Electrically erasable for reprogramming. PLCC-20 is socketable for field replacement. For PAL/glue logic replacement, address decoding, and simple state machines.

The 16V8 architecture has 8 programmable macrocells, each containing an 8-input OR gate fed from an AND array, a flip-flop, and output enable logic. The AND array has 64 product terms (32 inputs x 2 polarity = 64 rows). Each macrocell can be configured as: registered (D-FF output), combinatorial (direct output), or input-only. Electrically erasable EEPROM cells store the AND/OR fuse map, enabling field reprogramming. The 10ns delay is achieved by the flash/EEPROM switch technology.
