The M93C46-WBN6TP from ST is a 1Kbit MICROWIRE serial EEPROM in TSSOP-8 package. Selectable 64×8 or 16×16 organization via ORG pin. 2MHz MICROWIRE serial interface (CS, SK, DI, DO). 1 million write cycle endurance and 200-year data retention. -40 to 125C P-grade automotive temperature. For automotive ECU configuration, industrial parameter storage, and legacy MICROWIRE bus systems.

MICROWIRE is a 3-wire synchronous serial interface: CS (chip select), SK (serial clock), DI (data in), DO (data out). Operations start with a start bit (1), followed by an opcode (2 bits: read=10, write=01, erase=11, EWEN/EWDS), then address and data. The ORG pin selects organization: ORG=high for 16×16 (16-bit words, 4-bit address), ORG=low for 64×8 (8-bit words, 6-bit address). Write enable (EWEN) must precede write/erase operations for accidental write protection.
