The MB6S from MDD (Microdiode Electronics) is a 0.5A, 600V single-phase glass-passivated bridge rectifier in a compact SOP-4 (MB-S) surface-mount package. It provides full-wave rectification of AC to DC with low forward voltage drop and high surge current capability. Ideal for compact power supplies, adapters, and household appliances where PCB space is limited.

The MB6S from MDD is a 0.5A, 600V single-phase bridge rectifier in a compact SOP-4 surface-mount package. It provides full-wave AC-to-DC rectification with low 1.0V forward voltage drop and 30A surge current capability. The 600V rating supports universal AC input (85-264VAC), making it ideal for compact power supplies, wall adapters, and household appliance rectifier stages.

The MB6S contains four glass-passivated silicon diodes connected in a Graetz bridge configuration. During the positive half-cycle of AC input, two diagonal diodes conduct, routing current through the load in the forward direction. During the negative half-cycle, the other two diagonal diodes conduct, again routing current through the load in the same direction. This full-wave rectification produces a pulsating DC output with double the input frequency, which is then filtered by external capacitors. The glass passivation protects the junction surfaces from contamination and improves long-term reliability.
