The Q65112A4825 from Infineon is an automotive-grade multi-channel LED driver IC from the Q65-series product family. AEC-Q100 qualified, it provides integrated constant-current regulation for automotive LED lighting with comprehensive diagnostic features including open-load and short-circuit detection. Built-in overtemperature shutdown and overvoltage protection ensure robust operation in the harsh automotive environment. The device supports the full automotive supply voltage range with -40°C to +150°C junction temperature capability.

The Q65112A4825 uses integrated MOSFET output stages with closed-loop current regulation for each LED channel. A reference voltage and external sense resistor set the LED current. The diagnostic circuit continuously monitors each output for open-load (no LED connected) and short-circuit (LED shorted) conditions, reporting faults via the SPI or LIN interface. Overtemperature protection monitors the die temperature and shuts down outputs when the threshold is exceeded, automatically recovering when temperature drops. PWM dimming is achieved through internal PWM generators or external control signals.
