The IE2424S from XP Power is a 4W isolated DC-DC converter providing 24V output from a 9-36VDC input (24V nominal). 1500VDC isolation for safety in railway and industrial 24V distribution systems. 85% typical efficiency. SIP footprint for through-hole PCB mounting.

A flyback converter topology with transformer isolation. The input is filtered and chopped at high frequency, transferred across the isolation transformer, rectified, and filtered to the 24V output. Optocoupler feedback regulates the output voltage. 1500VDC isolation is achieved through transformer design and creepage/clearance spacing.
