The INA4180A1QPWRQ1 from TI is an AEC-Q100 Grade 1 automotive current sense amplifier with four channels in a TSSOP-20 package. The 0-16V common-mode range allows high-side current sensing in 12V automotive systems. 20 V/V gain with 500kHz bandwidth and 200 V/us slew rate suit dynamic load monitoring. Low 500uV max offset ensures accurate current measurement across the -40 to 125C automotive temperature range.

Each channel measures the voltage across an external sense resistor (Rsense) in the power path. The amplifier outputs Vout = Gain x Vsense = 20 x (Iload x Rsense). The 0-16V common-mode range is achieved with a precision resistor divider network that level-shifts the high-side voltage to the amplifier input range. The 200 V/us slew rate tracks fast transients during load steps and fault conditions.
