The SI7149ADP-T1-GE3 from Vishay Siliconix is a P-Channel 30 V TrenchFET power MOSFET in a PowerPAK SO-8 package. With an ultra-low RDS(on) of 5.2 mOhm at -10 V gate drive, it minimizes voltage drop and power loss in high-current battery and load switching applications. The extended VGS maximum rating of +/-25 V provides robust gate oxide reliability in automotive and industrial environments. The device is 100% Rg and UIS tested, ensuring high reliability. The PowerPAK SO-8 package provides excellent thermal performance for the 48 W power dissipation rating.

The SI7149ADP uses a P-Channel TrenchFET structure where the body region is N-type silicon and the source/drain are P-type. When VGS is driven negative (below the threshold of -2.5 V max), an inversion layer forms in the P-type channel, creating a conductive path between source and drain. The trench-gate structure maximizes channel density, achieving the ultra-low 5.2 mOhm RDS(on). As a P-Channel device, it can be used as a high-side switch without requiring a boost circuit or charge pump, simplifying power routing designs in battery-powered systems.
