The SKY13322-375LF from Skyworks Solutions is a GaAs FET SP4T RF switch designed for multiband telecommunications up to 6 GHz. The switch uses a reflective configuration with GaAs pHEMT technology to achieve low insertion loss (0.45 dB at 1 GHz) and high isolation (28 dB at 1 GHz). The device operates with control voltages from 1.8V to 5.0V and draws only 5 uA typical supply current, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. The compact MLPD 2×3 mm package with 10 pins minimizes PCB area while providing four RF throw ports and a common RF port for flexible antenna or signal routing.

The SKY13322-375LF uses GaAs FET switching elements in a series-shunt configuration controlled by four DC control voltage pins (V1-V4). Each control pin selects one of the four RF throw ports (J1-J4) to connect to the common RF port (RFC). When a control voltage is set high (3.3V typical), the corresponding series FET turns on while shunt FETs in other arms turn on to ground, providing isolation to unselected ports. A 47pF blocking capacitor is required on RF ports for operation above 1 GHz. The depletion-mode GaAs FETs require positive control voltage for operation with floated RF ground connections via internal DC blocks.
