The SN75DP130 is a DisplayPort redriver from Texas Instruments that supports DisplayPort 1.2 data rates up to 5.4 Gbps (HBR2) per lane across all four DisplayPort lanes. The DSRGZR variant operates from a single 3.3 V supply, eliminating the need for a separate 1.8 V rail and simplifying PCB power supply design. The device provides programmable equalization and output de-emphasis to compensate for signal degradation from long cables and PCB traces. Automatic receiver detection enables the device to manage link training and power states efficiently.

The SN75DP130 redriver operates as a linear equalizer and signal amplifier for DisplayPort high-speed differential signals. The input stage applies programmable equalization to compensate for the frequency-dependent loss of the input cable or PCB trace. The equalized signal is then amplified and re-driven to the output with programmable de-emphasis for optimal signal integrity at the far end. The device operates in the analog domain, preserving the signal modulation characteristics. The AUX channel is passed through bidirectionally with minimal latency. The single 3.3 V supply powers both the high-speed signal path and the control logic, with internal regulation for the sensitive analog circuits.
