The TMP108AIYFFR from TI is a high-accuracy digital temperature sensor with I2C interface in an ultra-compact 2.0×2.0mm DQFN-6 package. +/-0.75C accuracy and 12-bit 0.0625C resolution suit precision thermal monitoring. 150nA standby and 1.5-3.6V supply ideal for battery-powered devices.

A silicon bandgap temperature sensor generates a PTAT voltage. A 12-bit ADC digitizes the voltage to 0.0625C LSB. The result is read via I2C at up to 400kHz. One-shot mode takes a single reading and returns to standby for minimal average current.
