The TPS746-Q1 is an AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified, 1A ultra-low-dropout regulator with power-good functionality, designed specifically for automotive applications. The 01 suffix indicates the adjustable output version (0.55V to 5.5V). The PQWDRBRQ1 package variant uses the 8-pin VSON (DRB) with wettable flanks that facilitate automated optical inspection (AOI) of solder joints, meeting automotive manufacturing requirements. The device features 25μA IQ, 38dB PSRR at 100kHz, and ±0.85% output accuracy, making it ideal for post-regulation in automotive head units, camera modules, telematics, and radar systems.

The TPS74601P-Q1 uses a PMOS pass transistor controlled by a precision error amplifier that compares the FB pin voltage with a 0.55V internal bandgap reference. The external resistor divider from OUT to FB to GND sets the output voltage. The power-good (PG) circuit monitors the FB pin and asserts the PG output when the output is within the specified regulation window. The EN pin and PG output can be used for power supply sequencing. An internal foldback current limit reduces thermal dissipation during short-circuit events. The device includes undervoltage lockout (UVLO), thermal shutdown with hysteresis, and active output discharge. The wettable flank design on the VSON package ensures solder fillet visibility for automated optical inspection.
