The TPS77250DGKR from Texas Instruments is a 2.5V fixed-output 250mA LDO voltage regulator with integrated power-good (PG) output in an 8-pin VSSOP (3.0×3.0mm) package. The PG output enables power sequencing in FPGA and multi-rail systems by indicating when the output voltage has reached regulation. With 150mV dropout voltage at 250mA, 130uA quiescent current, and 58dB PSRR at 1kHz, it provides clean and efficient regulation from a 2.7V to 10V input.

The TPS77250 uses a P-channel MOSFET pass element in a low-dropout configuration. The error amplifier compares a resistor-divided output voltage with a precision bandgap reference (1.22V). When the output is below 2.5V (92% of nominal), the power-good comparator drives the PG pin low (open-drain). When the output reaches regulation, PG goes high-impedance. The fast <70us turn-on time is achieved by a fast-start circuit that initially overdrives the pass FET gate.
