Product Overview
The DS4422N+T&R from Maxim is a 2-channel 7-bit I2C DAC with 50 µA to 200 µA sink/source output current range. It is designed for power supply margining and offset adjustment in server and networking equipment.

Working Principle
Two 7-bit current DACs sink or source current from/to an external FB node of a DC-DC converter, adjusting the output voltage above or below nominal. The MSB of each 7-bit value sets direction (sink/source), the remaining 6 bits set magnitude. This enables ±margin adjustment for power supply validation testing.
Applications
- Power supply margining
- DC-DC output voltage trim
- Sensor offset adjustment
- Server PSU calibration
