The MLCC consists of alternating layers of ceramic dielectric (C0G formulation) and inner electrode metal, terminated with outer electrodes. The C0G (Class I) dielectric uses a titanium dioxide (TiO2) based formulation that exhibits near-zero temperature coefficient and no capacitance change with applied DC voltage. This contrasts with X5R/X7R (Class II) dielectrics which can lose 30-80% capacitance under DC bias.
