Working Principle

MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connectors use a threaded coupling mechanism (bayonet type) for quick connect/disconnect with positive locking. The shell provides EMI shielding and environmental sealing via O-ring gaskets. Contacts are crimp-type with rear release for wire termination. Insert arrangements follow MIL-STD-1560.
