The Molex 45985-4143 is a right-angle plug connector from the EXTreme LPHPower (Low Profile Hybrid Power) product family. This mixed power-and-signal connector system combines 4 high-current power blade contacts rated at 30A each with 24 signal contacts rated at 1A each, all in an ultra-low 7.50mm profile. The power blades are oriented parallel to the PC board, delivering up to 127.0A per linear inch of board space — 53% less space than traditional connectors with equivalent current ratings.

The EXTreme LPHPower connector uses blade-style power contacts oriented parallel to the PCB surface to achieve its ultra-low 7.50mm profile. Each housing bay contains two isolated power blades (top and bottom) that provide redundant current paths. The power contacts are designed with a large cross-sectional area and low contact resistance (0.50 mΩ initial) to minimize power loss at high currents. Signal contacts use phosphor bronze beams with selective gold plating for reliable low-level signal transmission. The connector supports hot-plugging with last-mate/first-break power contact sequencing, allowing safe insertion and removal under load.
