The BC807-40-7-F from Diodes Inc is a 45V 1.2A PNP transistor in SOT-23. The -40 gain group provides hFE of 250-600 for driver and amplifier applications. Complementary to the BC817 NPN for push-pull and class-AB stages. Low VCE(sat) of 0.5V at 500mA for efficient switching.

Current-controlled device: a small base current (IB) controls a larger collector current (IC = hFE * IB). In common-emitter configuration, the PNP sources current from emitter to collector when base is pulled below emitter. The high hFE provides strong current gain for driving loads from logic-level signals.
