Product Overview
The TLV5637IDR-1 is a dual 10-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Texas Instruments, designed for general-purpose applications requiring compact, low-power analog voltage generation. Operating from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply, it features a 3-wire serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, and Microwire standards for glueless connection to microcontrollers and DSPs. Each of the two DAC channels uses a resistor string architecture with a rail-to-rail output buffer providing x2 gain and Class-AB output stage for low output impedance and fast settling. A key feature is the programmable settling time – 0.8 us in Fast mode or 2.8 us in Slow mode – enabling designers to optimize speed versus power consumption. The integrated programmable precision reference can supply up to 1 mA and also serve as a system reference. With differential nonlinearity under 0.1 LSB typical and guaranteed monotonicity over temperature, the TLV5637 delivers consistent performance across the -40 degC to +85 degC industrial temperature range. Packaged in an 8-pin SOIC (D) form factor, it is ideal for digital servo control loops, industrial process control, digital offset and gain adjustment, machine and motion control, mass storage device calibration, and other applications requiring compact, low-power dual-channel DAC performance.
